Miltoniopsis

The Miltoniopsis produce among the most beautiful and fragrant flowers in the Subtribe, Oncidiinae. These intermediate growers have long been misunderstood due to so much misinformation that has been written concerning their cultural requirements. Because these Hybrid Miltoniopsis are so far removed from the species it is fair to say they posses a great deal of hybrid vigor. They grow quickly into specimen plants with great numbers of spikes and flowers, giving the grower, exquisite display plants for show and enjoyment! Cultural requirements well practiced will give plants that grow and flower year after year with ease! Culture sheets are sent with all orders.

HV-824 Milt. Mrs. Anneli Loeb 'Redskin' x Milt. Marie Riopelle 'Waterfall'
Mrs. Anneli Loeb 'Redskin' has proved to be an exceptional breeder, giving full form and red color to its offspring. Mrs. Anneli Loeb has Beethoven Lyoth 'Tycho' as a parent and produces an abundance of waterfalls when used with waterfalls. The Marie Riopelle 'Waterfall' is the only waterfall from the grex Marie Riopelle. We expect some waterfalls; the only question is what percentage. There should be some pinks in the mix as well. These should be very good!

HV-825 Milt. Mrs. Anneli Loeb 'Redskin' x Milt. Lady Snow 'Mt. Hood' HCC/AOS
Milt. Lady Snow represents a new look for Miltoniopsis. The plants grow as large as miniature Cymbidiums. The leaves are very wide and produce up to 6 and 7 spikes per growth. The plants in bloom are simply stunning. We hope to bring color and pattern into this line and here we are looking for red colored flowers on strong upright spikes.

HV-826 Milt. Lady Snow 'Hatsushimo' AM/AOS x Milt. Black Gold '#1'
Milt. Black Gold is a deep all yellow with a black mask. We are looking to introduce yellows with black masks into this line of breeding. We expect some yellows but doubt there will be black masks in this intermediate step. The substance on these flowers should be very good.Some pale yellows are expected. Big Lady Snow growth habit!

There are no outcrosses of this beautiful species available - until now! These should be absolutely sensational! The vexillaria Carolina is from Juan Felipe Posada of Colomborquideas and was in his exhibit at the W.O.C. in Canada. We were pleased to get a division of this lovely pale pink vexillaria. Milt. vexillaria 'lambeauiana' received an FCC/RHS in 1910 and is a division from our good friend Mr. Woody Carlson. Here is your chance to have some fine Miltoniopsis vexillarias at a reasonable price.

Harold Ripley has been used and gives great variety. The Milla Hull 'Harkonen', is one of our best Milla Hull's. It has never been shown and we feel it is award quality. Beall's Strawberry Joy has up to 7 flowers on the spike with flowers that are white with a red blaze on the petals and sooty black masks. The Jolene Carlson is the most gorgeous shade of watermelon pink with a raspberry red mask. Expect all shades of pink with dark masks. Some white flowers with black masks.
